Every year from late March to July the largest of all fish visits Ningaloo Reef - the Whale Shark. Although it can grow up to 12 metres or more in length, it is totally harmless and feeds on the smallest creatures of the ocean - plankton and krill. This is an example of the refund and no sighting policy - they vary from tour operator to operator. Please ask us if you have any questions to avoid disappointment!

Refund Policy
The refund policy varies from operator to operator. Some will give you 50% refund if you cancel within 48 hours of tour departure, some will not refund any money at all. We will advise about the refund policy of the operator in the quote we send out to you via email.
A full refund will be made to passengers who have had their tour cancelled due to:

• Bad weather
• Minimum number policy
• Mechanical failure

No Sighting Policy
Whale shark tours are nature based and there may be very few days during the season when a whale shark cannot be sighted. If this occurs, a non transferable, non refundable repeat tour is offered on the next available tour day. (Please note that this is not always the next day - allow yourself a little extra time to cater for this!!!) A repeat tour voucher (valued within the season) can be issued to passengers unable to repeat the tour. There are NO refunds for no sightings.
